I look behind me at the steps I've taken on my weatherbeaten path and I know I've made decisions that in the eyes of the world are not the right ones. I also know that my regrets are mine alone, and that if I regret nothing then justification to myself is not necessary.
This is why I love alternative music: it takes me out of myself and into myself--on a car drive down a long, empty road with the windows down and the breeze blowing past.
I always need someone to hold my hand, but I can't stand it when they refuse to let go.
